Brittany Andrus, PMHNP

Brittany’s career started in 2004 working as a case manager for the developmentally disabled in the local community.

In 2006, Brittany joined CRH as a care partner on ortho/neuro unit while pursuing nursing school. She received her associate of science in nursing 2008 and joined the cardiac unit for a short time before transferring to the emergency department, which she called home for the next 15 years. Continued furthering her educational experience obtaining her bachelor of science in nursing in 2016. During her time in the emergency department, she also took on extra roles as stress team assessor, sexual assault nurse, public health nurse as well as worked in home health for a short time. She enjoyed caring for those in her community with acute and chronic illness.

Over those years it became apparent how mental health affects all aspects of one’s life and can contribute significantly to one’s physical health. She then continued her education at Indiana University of Indianapolis graduating in May 2023 with a master of science in nursing with a concentration in psychiatric mental illness. She earned her certification from ANCC as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in May 2023 and joined Rau Family Medicine in 2024.

During her free time, she enjoys gardening, traveling, kayaking, off roading, and spending time with her husband, 5 children and one grandchild.
